Computer Lab:
A well-equipped and well-furnished computer lab is
located in the campus. There are 16 computers, one server, four printers
and one scanner are in the computer lab Science Centre and Mathematical Laboratory: The work of Science Centre
and Mathematical Laboratory is in progress. It will be completed soon.
The Mathematical Laboratory will have
the following sections:
1. Job discussions and planning solutions.
2. Making sketches, drawings for taking observations.
3. Reporting results.
4. Making working model as per the job specifications.
Carrying out practical experiments in a systematic manner will have the following
advantages:
1. Line work and finally drawing work will improve.
2. Geometrical concepts of various figures and their construction method
will be clear to the children.
3. Children will get opportunity to discuss practical difficulties among
themselves. Their knowledge and memory will increase.
4. Students will come to know of the importance of activities they do in the
laboratory .
Library:
A school library
with a good collection of books on diverse topics is already in
place at the Shiksha Bharati campus. A big study room is incorporated with
the library.
6000 books are available in the library at present and the process of
acquiring new books, as and when they are launched, continues
throughout the year. The library enjoys a peaceful and good
reading environment. Course-related, literary, hobby-related and
other reading books are available in
the library. Process of building a section comprising digital, video
and audio content (such as CDs, video cassettes, audio cassettes and
other such material) is also under way.
Sports Complex:
A 400-meters
long Track exists in the campus. A
stadium with a seating capacity of
3000 persons and a small size swimming pool are planned to be added to the complex. These facilities will be
available to the school and will be open for public at reasonable rates.
Its estimated cost will be Rs. 1.5 crores. After the development of
all the sporting facilities planned by the Shiksha Bharati, it would
be one of the largest sporting complexes in the region, having
provision of different kinds of indoor and outdoor games. Some sporting tournaments have already taken place in the
campus.
Hostel for Tribal Girls:
The blue print for construction of hostel for
100 occupants is ready. The foundation stone of the hostel may be laid shortly. In
fact, 17 tribal girls are already staying in an alternative
accommodation in the campus. No
fee is charged from these girls for education, lodging, boarding, food and
medical facilities. These girls can be adopted by donors for a year.
Approximate annual
expenditure for adoption comes to Rs.12000/- per girl per year. Individual donors who are
interested
in adopting them may contact the Managing Committee or its members. A large segment of girls of our society are
derived of quality education due to financial constraints and physical distances between their
residences and schools. We are trying to rid them of these hindrances.
Shiksha Bharati is going to develop another
hostel for such girls within the complex. To start with, a makeshift girls hostel
has been arranged within the complex by converting a few classrooms.
Of the 17 Banvasi (tribal) girls availing this facility, 16 are
from Assam and Mizoram and an orphan girl is
from a nearby village. Another 30 girls from tribal areas are scheduled to avail
this facility from next academic session. However, the present small setup is
neither properly equipped nor is enough to meet the need of the society.
Proper infrastructure is planned for 200 such girls in next 5 years. Its estimated cost
is Rs.1.5 crores.
Auditorium:
Shiksha Bharati is planning to
construct a multi-purpose auditorium
at the heart of the complex. This will be constructed for holding conferences,
seminars, cultural programmes and other functions. Capacity of the
auditorium will be to seat 1000-1500 persons. Expert architects are preparing
designs for the building. Rupees one crore is estimated to be the cost for
construction and furnishing of the auditorium.
Primary Health Centre:
This Health Centre will be built and equipped for routine health checking. It will have all the facilities of a good primary health centre. It will have experienced doctors and nursing staff. It will be located in the residential colony of the campus staff. Its estimated cost will be Rs.20
lakh.
Common Facility Centre:
The Campus is located at some distance from the
Hapur city. To cater to the daily needs of the inhabitants, the following provisions
have been made available, or are in the process of development:
- Post Office
- Extension Counter of a Bank
- Medical Centre
- Phone Booth
- Milk Booth and Vegetable shops
- Stationery and Books Shop
- Restaurant and Canteen
- Recreation Centre
- Local Transport Facility -like a bus, van and auto-rickshaw.
A permanent and regular facility of a van for daily commuters from the town is also being
provided. To house these facilities, shops/kiosks will be constructed.
Estimated cost for these facilities is ten lakh rupees.
Transport:
Bus service is available to the
students for commuting between the school and home, which is based on
the principle of 'No profit no loss.' Bus facility can be availed at
the proper place. All students come at the predefined location (Bus
stand 5) to board the bus. Presently, ten vehicles have been
employed by the organisation for providing transport facility to the
students. More vehicles may be employed if the number of students go up.
Utmost care is given to the safety of students boarding the
vehicles. All vehicles are are properly maintained and checked on a regular basis
to ensure smooth and safe functioning.
Residential Complex:
HIG, MIG & LIG types of flats will be
constructed for providing living accommodation to principal,
teachers and other staff members of all institutions in the campus.
A tubewell for fresh and pure water along with adequate water storage tanks will be provided. Adequate number of standby generating sets for general lighting of campus shall be installed. Adequate arrangements for security of the campus will be made
and special attention will be paid to the residential complex and
girls hostels.
The under mentioned dwelling units with approximate covered area are planned to be
constructed:
- HIG, for Principals 4 Nos. 1200 sq. ft. each
- MIG, for Teachers 20 Nos. 800 sq. ft. each
- LIG, for Staff 20 Nos. 400 sq. ft. each
An expenditure of one crore rupees has been estimated for the residential
complex. |
