be provided
through a Biogas Plant. Its approximate cost will be Rs. 20 lakh.
A cow has been considered a sacred and multi-utility animal in
Indian religious scriptures, and commands great respect among the
people here. Due to its traditionally important role in agriculture
and milk production, the animal is considered as an important
component of village economy as well. As a part of
making students aware of their traditional cultural and social
roots, Shiksha Bharati encourages them to develop a bond with the
cows at the gaushala. Students of the institution also take an
active part in the working and maintainence of the gaushala.
Unconventional Energy Resources Centre:
Due to availability of vast and open area,
solar and the wind energy may be tapped for
cooking purpose in the hostel and for providing light in the campus. In addition, the local and
rural population will be educated on the subject through seminars and contact
programmes.
Rain Water Harvesting:
Though at present there is no problem of availability of ground water in this area yet the
level of ground
water is going down continuously. There definitely is a need to make the locals in general and
students in particular aware of the rain water harvesting through a demonstration and hence this
project.
